Description: The trails & trails marker data for George Mitchell Nature Preserve (GMNP) were collected via walking survey using a combination of technology including handheld GPS & GNSS receivers, and smart device with ArcGIS Collector/Field Maps, for capture of trail routes and trail makers. Trail marker attributes were assigned as data was collected in the field.Trail marker data collected using Trimble GPS receiver was post processed, projected (NAD 83 SPC TXSC US Feet) and exported to an enterprise geodatabase. Database schema standard assigned to the trail data is based on the 2014 NRPA (National Recreation & Parks Association) GIS data model. Additional attribute information was then assigned to the trail GIS dataset with [TRAILID] being the unique ID key to relational table for Trails Features.
